Having a sit in turret (mostly for horde nights) and a mountable turret for the 4x4

Wondering what people would think about having a Gatling Gun style turret to be able to sit in during horde nights. Could make it somewhat expensive to build so it wouldn't be to op. Would probably need to be able to hold a couple thousand rounds and have a long reload time. It would probably suit people better who don't like to build the afk style bases, and a mountable turret for the 4x4 to make it a more viable option for transport and fun.
 
There are many approaches to the game. Many payers actually build non-afk bases and melee the horde. Many players also prefer the use of guns. Considering guns are already OP, an additional OP bullet hose option is not really needed.

Usually whenever I get everything researched, generators, turrets and everything else, I place auto-turrets on top of my base, so during horde night, I can run around and melee the heck out of anything that moves towards my base.

I put turrets on the roof of my horde base to shoot down vultures. I don't like wasting time on those feathered rats.

Yeah, I agree. I admit it would be fun on a horde night or two, but would quickly get boring. It is like the one house night I decided to just have fun and run around with the dev pistol and armor. I couldn't really die and everything died easily, which was fun... once. I doubt I'll do it again, though. You make things too easy and even if they can be fun once or twice, a complete lack of challenge gets boring quickly. At least for me.

As far as a gun on a vehicle, the devs have said they don't want to do that, so it probably won't ever happen.
