PC Ground smoothing?

Im not going to go searching a 100k+ threads... but what i have found on the internet this seems to be a continuing issue... involving digging 2 levels down or use blocks to level... really?

5 of us bought the game, dedicated server etc a month ago...  we loved the game till we got serious about base building.  leveling terrain?  what a joke. Building proper rooftops, angles.... you know trying to build something that has the same looks as a roof top of a building in game... again. poor implementation. 

Is this something being looked at?

There are more important things to work on, like the color of your mouse and keyboard lights during blood moons.

The block menu is getting redone in A20 to be more uniform and consistent with more options for every material, a long with the whole building mechanic getting some love as well. Which should go a long way to improving the implementation which currently is very lack luster as its been awhile since the building mechanics have gotten much love. As the devs been focusing on other areas of the game and been neglecting the building aspect in the past few alphas.

Note that we don't know much more about how A20 will effect building as the devs have yet to show that aspect of it off or go into much detail.

Edit - As for leveling land the best way is to place a wood frame then pick it up as it will smooth the ground under it.

There will always be shapes in the game that can't be built by players and are only used by building designers. One reason is performance (some shapes use too many polygons so they need to be applied sparingly) another reason is to not overwhelm the AI of the zombies who have to deal with those blocks. There may be more reasons I don't know of.

But all shapes are available in the creative menue.

So if you want to build for beauty instead of function, turn on creative mode and get your blocks from the creative menue. Or get a mod that adds all those shapes.
