Gather honey Challenge doesn't work in 2.3 Exp

Just letting you know. I didn't post in bugs as there's no point in having a screenshot - don't know why that's required.

Maybe you need to collect with a stone axe? Some tasks for some reason require a specific tool. In particular, collecting meat counts if you collect it with a knife, but does not count if you collect it with an axe.

I have tried with a stone axe. Interestingly, it only seems to not work in my solo game, it works in my multiplayer game.

That is RNG. Right now I am getting average drops (around the expected amount). Previous runs I got more or less than expected amount. 20% drop rate is based on the population at a whole, not on individual player playthroughs.
 
The only honey I've gotten is from killing the bees or from trees after the magazine. None just from chopping stumps. The Harvesting challenge had a big fat 0 even after hitting level 50. So I resorted to a "fix" found in Steam's Discussion.
 
Thanks for the feedback, it is RNG for honey harvesting from stumps as you say BFT2020. I just finished a day and hit about 7 stumps and got 2 honey - 1 honey only and one honey with bees. What I didnt get was any progress on the honey challenge. I updated the version just before starting the session 2.3 b6 and am still not getting credit for harvesting honey from stumps.
I would be interested to know how others are doing with the challenge. What was the fix UncleElias?

I don't know about his fix, but this is what I did for my game

I put that in a modlet after I found 5 honey while harvesting stumps. It didn't credit me for the honey, but changed it to wood so I can at least get the credit.
 
Thanks for that. I just give myself the reward from the cm command when the challenge group is complete as I'm not playing with traders (I modded it so rewards drop directly into inventory on all challenge completions).
I expect this hiccup to be sorted before exp 2.3 goes live so its not a big deal.
