PC game purchase

Hello,

I've been watching 7 Days to Die for a while on youtube and it seems interesting. I just saw it on sale on steam and I'm considering buying.

My problem is that I like building and don't like shooters or clubbing grinders. This game's earlier version (I think 16.4?) is the one that I like and I'm not too interested in 17.

I understand that currently the last version is being sold, but I wanted to ask whether the older version is available too when you are installing the game?

I'm not exactly the sharpest zombie in the horde when it comes to technical things, so, I hope it is something downloaded automatically with the game, without me going to some additional place and downloading some file from who knows where.

So, I'm basically asking if the version currently sold includes the older 7 Days to Die one?

Thank you. :)

After you own the game you right click on its name in your library and select properties from the list.

A window will come up with tabs. Choose the Betas tab

A drop down menu will come up with “NONE-opt out of all betas” showing in the window.

Click the down arrow and choose whichever version you please from the available versions.

Wait for the download to complete and you will be set.

Theres always Empyrion Creative. Might be a better fit for you...
Currently has mixed reviews, it's basically a dumb down version of Space Engineers but with more issues. Great choice of game to recommend, especially since it's nothing at all like this game in which the OP is interested in. Rising World would have been a better recommendation, even though that game is also taking forever to develop. Minecraft would be another one.

Sure it's the same! It's built on Unity, and it's partially a voxel game! :fat:

Haha seriously though, I don't really see why it would be one to recommend. Playing it in creative wouldn't be a whole lot different from playing 7 Days in creative either. Except that you can fly, and can micro-manage inventory and weight systems.

(Don't get me wrong, I like Empyrion. Just started a new public server even. But Fox is right, it needs a hell of a lot of work, and doesn't compare at all.)

Roland Thank you so much for your detailed instruction. I do believe it is within my brain's capability to do so.

Fox I play all games with all enemies included. Now who'd be coming to kill me if I dismiss them with a button? :3 I just like variety of how I kill zombies. I want to build a base and sit on the porch with a sniper gun in one hand and martini in the other while most of the horde dies to designed traps. I've noticed in 17th version 90% of the game ppl club zombies over the head with a big stick and constantly say they need more stamina to hit more often. In other versions I feel people had more time for other tasks. I like being able to do many tasks and also have time for example for claiming a house that's not a base and designing it all nicely.

As for building games, Civilization 4 is mah ♥♥♥♥. :D
