Game Level & stage reset but not Day

This happened on the Darkness Falls mod - I haven't been on for several days and when I logged on I just noticed that my level, game stage etc had been reset but not the day. Can anyone help with this? If I use a saved game will that help? It only happened on that game not others I have started. I've tried to use a back up but nothing changes except my location based on that back up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a backup of the save, you need the three player files found in the player folder of the save. They start with EOS_xxxxxxxx.
