PC Game deleted

So, we have been playing for 85 days and our power just went out at our house. When it came back up and our WiFi rebooted we opened up the game and our saved game has been completely deleted. It just feels @%$#ty that we are punished for something completely out of our control. We have put so much time and effort into this game just for it all to be gone. It was nice knowing you 7 days, see you never.

If your on a PS5 your game probably backed up, atleast mine does?   Do you have playstation plus or whatever microsoft has?

I'd direct that frustration at your power provider. They are the cause of your dilemma.

Trust me I did, I spoke with them. However, the game should not have deleted over 101 hours worth of saves? I have checked every back up possible. This is a game problem.

Unfortunately, this can happen when a game is loaded and there's a sudden power loss. It may not have anything bad; it may have catastrophic consequences such as complete save corruption like you experienced. Both ps5/xbox have options to not automatically backup saves (iirc xbox you have to manually upload your saves though) to the cloud, and the game does have a little backup, but both ps5 and xbox have hard limits on how much space each title can use, and our saves are pretty huge so we can't have multiple backups, sadly. The cloud save option - with automatic update turned off - is the best option for console users.
