Fun Pimps "Sting" too loud

I have a friend I play with who is sensitive to sound. She has adjusted her settings so the in-game sounds don't overwhelm her, but everytime she starts the game, that instrumental sting that plays during the Fun Pimps logo irritates her. It is simply too loud.

Is there a way to mute/replace or otherwise change the volume of that sound?

Maybe someone knows some code. But for the mean time your friend could simply mute her pc or headset when she starts the game  as a temp thing

I edited the .exe to skip the intro splash and the news screen. Could likely add it through Steam as well if needed.

Yes, in Steam you add it in "Properties", like this:
