PC Fourth time character reset

I am playing Rolands 0XPmod.

Today I logged in and my character has been reset again. Four times now. This has happened at different levels and places on the map. At no time have I crashed.

Only issue I can think might be needed is that these games were long sessions. 6+ hours or more when I am crashing. Is there a memory bug in the main game? Should a person stop every hour and log out to restart the game?

Does anyone know of a way to periodically save the saved files say every 15 minutes so hopefully one of the saves will be good to play instead of losing the entire game? If you say manually you know how it is. You start to get into the game and would forget.

Looks more like a question, so moved accordingly.

1. How much free space is on your C drive? You could be running out.

I warn you though, if you're going to run it every 15 minutes, you'll want a decent amount of drive space. 7 Days to die saves start at around 1GB each if you include all the saved data plus the world folder. The more you explore, the larger it will become.

 
We play 0xpmod too and play about 4 hours max. We had a reset once, but I think that was when we installed a newer version of the mod

So if the 6+ hours really is part of the problem, you might just do a relog every 3 hours and should be relatively safe.

 
Save games do Not like changes in quests, skills and perks, so if something changes the info stored on the player, you will see resets.

...this may help, it might not, I dunno.

Example:. New vanilla game, you're on quest 3. Install a mod that changes quests... Boom. Issue.

Are you crashing or never crashed? You say both.

 
Yeah. I am done for a while. In the last week many more times. I thought I had a decent backup system going but it seems to fail as well.

I enjoy playing the game just not replaying the same game over and over to get to the same spot.

Either way everyone else thanks for the help. Will try again in about another year.
