Forum Management Help?!

I shouldn't be so new to forums for my age, but I am. It seems I am often missing replies and responses... I tried to mess with notification settings... I've only now recently noticed there is a "Notify me of replies" option when I reply to something. Can that be automatically turned on? Or is there a good source of information I can read up on this?

In your profile is an option to set "notify me" as your default settings.

However it seems not to work for unrelated replies. I only get notifications if i'm quoted or mentioned, what (afaik) will notify you anyway, even if you haven't set the "notify me" switch.

But at least it adds every thread you replied to to your "followed content".
