Flashbangs

Just had a thought that it'd be kinda cool to have flashbangs.

pop open a POI's door.

Throw one in.

Let the zombies pour out.

Some % chance to summon a wandering horde.

:D

 
Wouldn't a can full of rocks be a better alternative then? Since it sounds like in the case of this suggestion the intended purpose of the flashbang would be simply to be a loud distraction. Unless, the flashbang would be used for other things like temporarily blinding/ deafing the player and/ or zombies.

 
If it's just about making a lot of noise then the pipe bomb would be an adequate replacement. And if you only make enough noise, half the neighborhood will visit you anyway. Then you also have your wandering horde. :)

 
Pipe bomb would destroy stuff. Flashbang would have the added tweak to draw in a "near by" horde occasionally.

I dunno. Seems fun. :D

 
This is along the same idea as the "Flare Gun" I would love for them to add. Fire it into the doorway and the light and sizzle attracts the Zeds inside, fire it into the air to light up an area outside at night, or fire it into a Zed's chest as a desperation move to set it on fire then point and laugh
