PC Fix game or refund plz

Hi. Im not to happy with new 1.0. We can start 1 big game an join 1 friend. Then game says we can't join any more. So I archived. Still can't start another big map. So is this getting fixed? Or should we ha e option for refund since we never got a discount on buying game that we owned for 10 yrs

There actually is a discount for both Xbox and PS. Saw several people on FB saying the 25% discount worked just fine.

If it is only possible for 2 people to play together, you probably have a Xbox Series S, right? With only 10GB of Ram, it´s literally impossible to have more than 2 people playing together if the host uses a Series S. It simply can´t handle more than that. because it only has 10GB of Ram  If someone has a Series X they can host fpr 4 people.

However once crossplay is possible (announced for Q4 2024) you then can host for more people. I guess using dedicated servers. No details on all of that yet though, don´t know any technical details about that.

This forum has a Console section btw. You are in the PC section.

Hi. As was stated, this is the normal technical limitation of the Xbox S. There is nothing broken. Until crossplay is released at the end of the year you will only be able to play 2-player. Once crossplay releases you will be able to join online servers and play with larger groups. Even then, though, if you host a game on your own xbox you will only ever be able to invite one person. The good news is that crossplay is already working and they are just optimizing it while they wait for certification from Microsoft and Sony which they've already applied for.  So things look good for the feature to come on time.

The discount is limited to those who purchased their game online from either the Microsoft store or the Playstation Store. If you use the same account that you used to purchase the old version then it will automatically apply the discount.

Finally, this isn't the place to request a refund. Nobody here took your credit card information to be able to credit back your purchase to your card. You will have to request your refund from the store where you bought the game. For you, that sounds like the Microsoft store. As long as you haven't put too many hours of play and explain your reasons for buying the game under mistaken expectations they will probably issue you a refund.

I'm experiencing a issue with using glass water bottles and food. As well as my character not hydrating and eating properly, always empty and the glass jars disappear after each use. As well as the no local co-op, I'd like to know when that's coming. Thank you in advance.

Empty glass jars were removed in Alpha 21

Food and water levels drop much faster for your character and are harder to get early on in V1. No glass jars or empty cans in this version. Unfortunately local coop is not coming

Thank you for the updated info on the game didn't know they changed those aspects, well there's rumors that co-op is only coming to consoles as PC players don't play co-op that being said I would be looking forward to console co-op as I know a lot of people are as well. Just survived my first 7 days blood moon, solo!

PC players do play Co-Op.  There are several that are active in these forums.  And Co-Op is already in place for PC players as we do have the ability to setup multiplayer servers.  When they (TFP) get cross play available, that will open the number of players you will be able to Co-Op with as you will be able to use PC servers now.

Offline Co-op is practically unheard of for PC, consoles on the other hand.

If by "offline co-op" you mean split screen functionality then you should know that it is not a planned feature. Any rumor that you heard that it is coming is false. You can play 2-player co-op right now online by connecting to another player's hosted game but it requires the internet. I don't know whether two consoles can connect directly in a  LAN setup and play in the same room offline.

We'll just have to wait and see, cause I highly doubt they would want to cripple themselves from a audience that is looking for offline co-op play just because PC doesn't typically do so. It'd make more sense if the console version had the feature as so did the older version.

PC has nothing to do with split screen not coming for consoles.  It is because the console hardware can not support cross play gaming.

Consoles share RAM with both the CPU and GPU.  And this version 1.0 requires a lot more computing power than the older version.

And since cross play is coming to PS/Xbox/PC, TFP want to keep both the PC and console version the same.

Just to be clear, consoles will support crossplay gaming in that they will be able to join dedicated servers online that PC players can also join. Crossplay will require an internet connection.

Consoles will not support local offline splitscreen play. There is nothing wrong, however, to hope that they will regardless of what is said in this forum.

That was a typo on my part, I meant split screen.  I didn’t proofread that part when I posted
