PC Finally after 12 years.

I finally am getting to play on a server after 12 years.
My friend is the administrator. So I am presently playing
on his default settings.
Here are the things that I observed local vs online.

Animation: Walk and everything else is set to sprint. Changed to 120 minutes.
I have a low ping and a quick isp connection. Fps is still the same
120+. I may get him to slow down the walk speeds, because I noticed
that the speed faster than jog, skips frames due to packet latency.
The faster walkers and runners kind of skid across the ground at
sense perimeter distances. 775.27 down 40.61 up   SSD 16g ram getting 32 next.

Chopping trees, shows the beginning and land contact animation, but none
in between about 50 plus percent of the animation.

Destroying basic objects the animated gibs are often missing, mainly
the middle of the extended animations. It comes down to a simple transfer
synch of packet data.

I have mainly used my bow so I can observe the trajectory, and speed easier.
I had to adjust my fire 1.5 paces forward, of my local aim. This is only
for moving targets. If I see it at x32 its really at approx x33.5.

It's totally playable just seems like animation packet data is being compressed.

Sound is a bit different, meaning, I use my headphones to figure target proximity
and direction it's more like just before the adjustment was done.

I verified my files before download, we are playing ea rules presently, no mods.

Other than that it's smoothish so far. The only thing I see is that the inet connection,

is having trouble keeping up with the amount of data being sent to and from.

Nice Job.

Even with a hosted game with me as host, I usually don't see the person I play with swinging their melee weapon.  It was fine until somewhere in 1.0 experimental.  So animations are (can be) an issue in any multiplayer.

@Riamus It's my first time playing the game on line. My log until today was 35 minutes.

So I got a lot to learn again because I want to mod that world now.

@SylenThunder

The 14 years referred to the last game I played on line, Ultima Online, I joined with my two

bosses 2 months after it started. Then quit in 2010 around July. Since then I have not seen any

game that inspired me enough to get back on. This version did, so I gifted a console, a pc version,

and went halfsies with my co worker on a server. Just waiting for the cross play so Rich can join us.

I bought the original disc at software boutique, in Manhattan.

:clap2:
