Windows Existing game won't start.

This morning, the game took a really long time to load. Apparently, this was due to some "Discord" prompt. Now, the "Start" button is unresponsive.

I have the same issue, every time they do an upgrade it seems. Even if you save the game it would seem it isn't backward compatible or in this case perhaps you need a discord account now. Even if you buy the game you really never own it.. frustrating... this has happen at least 6 times over the last couple of years... I get 4-10 months into a game and then ... oops you cant access the game you were playing anymore.

That sucks! No fix?
 
You should not need Discord to play the game. I have it off.1751051262318.png

2.x will not load 1.x saves. Data has changed quite a bit.

When 3.0 comes out, it will probably not load 2.x saves either.

Verify you have completely removed all mods. Most are not updated to support 2.0 yet. If you still have trouble staying a new game, use the game launcher to clear game data. If it still doesn't work, post your log so someone can help you. Without it, there isn't much anyone can help you with.

Remember to start a new game.
