I wanted to test the drones in POBX server to see how useful they are, but they are disabled, I suppose it's to avoid problems because besides being bugged you can also duplicate objects with it, so I thought of a possible solution, I don't know if it's possible: a slot for the drone that enables extra spaces, it would be like a kind of extra hot bar, you would not drop it when you die so it would be safe space if you have drop only backpack, to avoid it to being too broken, these extra spaces could only be filled with some things, like first aid kit , bandages, repair kit, ammo, food and drinks. each level of the drone could unlocks a slot or two so the max size wil be at level 6, visually it could be static on your shoulder and be a little smaller, it would not be an entity that follows you with a broken AI and get lost in the buildings, it could be like a piece of armor possible problems to solve (in servers):
2 - if yes, this new piece of armor can enable a few new slots in hot bar or backpack?
3 - this new piece of armor can use drone mods?
4 - can this new piece of armor look like it is floating statically on the shoulder/head or some part of the character?
if is to complicated to add a new slot for armor, you can use glasses slot and give glasses buff to drone.

the main idea is not to use anything from the drone other than the name, how it looks and possibly its mods, it would be like adding its mods to some pants or any piece of armor, i know drones are bugged and hard coded in game, this new item don't use anything from the original code, maybe mods.
I don't know how to make mods but i have nice ideas sometimes, if you are a DEV or modder let me know if you are interested in the idea.
- deactivate a useful element of the game, such as the drone itself
- duplicating object
- bugged drone that appears and disappears at random and you never know where it is
- one less entity in the game
- since it's not an entity, you wouldn't have to worry about it during cleans.
