Endgame idea - regional bosses

Something that could facilitate something towards an endgame or end goal

- Regional zombie hive mothers or zombie hive cores or bosses (or something to that effect) hiding out in special buildings or basements, protected by a special kind of guardian horde

- Once a hive mother is incapacitated the 7th day hordes in that (predefined) area stop and the number of zombie spawns in that area becomes a finite number, so you could basically clear out an area completely. Venture into an adjacent area however and you'll have to do it all over again there (makes this MP friendly and would also be a greater coop cause on bigger servers).

- The goal being to clear out all zombies from the map eventually.

To make it all not too easy:

- Make this mechanic something that is a high resource goal, it could be made so the hive mother has to be kept passive with the help of technology or chemicals that need a lot of resources, for a few weeks before she finally dies. Possibly having to guard the creature from hordes for a while until fully tranquillized or electrocuted or sterilized or to starve her to death, which ever applies (or a combination of all of them).

For single player or small team coop games there could be a set goal like: "Find and eliminate tree (or optional X) hive mothers" which could be hiding anywhere on the map and with the help of clues (similar to treasure map drops) players could find out the general area where a hive mother is located.

Most of the mechanics for the above are already in the game. Making spawns a finite number and making spawns regional however could be an issue at the moment.

And I'm well aware this is not going to happen, it's just an idea I had, that I wanted to share.
