Empty containers, especially bags & crates

Hello! Hopefully this is the right place to post this, not too familiar with posting on here.

I was wondering if it is possible to make containers more likely to at least have SOME loot. I almost never get loot from weathered backpacks and I often experience empty shotgun messaiah crates for example. I feel like those should atleast always have some kind of loot (the crates).

It *should* be pretty rare for something like a Shotgun Messiah crate to be empty. What version of the game are you playing? Any mods? IF you were really keen, you could go into the loot.xml files and edit it to ensure a 100% chance of loot on containers for example.

I do use some modlets yeah, would they make it so the containers are more likely to be empty tho?

I'll try looking into that, wasn't sure if that was a thing or not. Thank you for the quick help!

On 100% loot setting you won’t get much very often. You can adjust the loot tables like Oz said. Usually the loot tables have like 5% chance to drop stuff. You can change specific tables to proc more often.

Is it the "count" I should increase?

Yeah I've noticed with increase loot percentage you very rarely get empty containers, but it also increases the amount you get by too much. I just want to be guaranteed loot when I actually get good crates and stuff :/
