After the latest two Windows 10 ESU updates on 16. april KB5082200 and KB5084068 my windows kernel seems to lock up on EAC enabled servers.
when it happens, my network crashes.
its still there but doesnt allow for any connections.
im on
Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.7058
Asrock z790 pro rs/d4 (onboard NIC) i7-13700kf rtx3070ti 32gb ram
Playing on Wifi usb adapter works, playing on non-eac enabled servers works aswell.
it was working on 15. april all day long.
just now, its completely broken after turning off my pc and back on the other day. Nothing has changed besides those two updates.
it happens on all EAC enabled servers.
when i run cmd.exe ping -t 1.1.1.1 in parallel, i get a ping loop to see when it drops.
when joining a EAC server it prints "No resources", then its dead. timeout after.

It does not happen on Non-EAC servers. i can play there all day long.
but joining a EAC server it dies within 2..3 minutes.
Nothing besides those two windows updates changed between 15 and 16th april.
When it locks up:
the ethernet adapter or device kernel completely hangs. no connections anymore.
i cannot disable it or other devices in device manager, i cannot uninstall it or other devices and it does not show "no cable attached" when i unplug the cable.
the whole windows device kernel / management breaks.
when shutting down or restarting the pc, it hangs on "shutting down" forever.
i have to hard reset it.
What i did that did not fix it:
-uninstall those windows updates again
-Verify game files & Reinstall game
-update realtek 2.5GbE Rt640 driver
-underclock CPU in case it got unstable (13th gen intel..)
-update bios
-sfc /scannow
Windows event viewer does not show any related messages except when it loses connection (cannot reach xxx etc)
log attached from the server im playing on usually.
keep in mind warnings and errors related to blocks etc. are from this server, its not related to anything, older logs show the exact same stuff.
most relevant parts are on the end of the log where it loses connection to eos.
2026-04-17T21:30:41 144.155 is the timeout kick.
After restarting (hard resetting, as it wont turn off when that happens) it works just fine again
i can play any other game, all day long. can download terabytes of data and have a million connections open. without a hitch like before.
2minutes on a eac server, dead again.
must be the eac kernel mode driver in combination with something windows messed up again
any ideas?
