drop inventory on ground on player death mod help

I cannot find a mod that makes the player inventory drop on the ground when a player dies but does not drop storage container. This would make the items disappear after a few seconds on player death as when a player drops an unwanted item. I do not like the 'delete all' choice because there is no reward for killing another player.

I have tried to mod the items.xml, but just messed stuff up. Can anyone help me?
