Windows Drone Removal

We recently had a game crash and had to restore to a little bit on an older save. Now as it loads a few vehicles show on the map but are not in the place they were.

We have 3 players all with drones. We would leave medical supplies in them as we log off and they would drop to the floor and become active again as we log back on saving time to put supplies back in them.

As we log on now the drones have dropped into map and are lost. Previous threads said to enable dm console and do a JD command to locate. Says I have 1 drone but last location states (None)

JD remove does not work to remove these drones. Can other files be edited to remove the history of having a drone so we can deploy another? Not a programmer so looking for detailed instructions to fix please.
 
You need to use "jd clear username" with the username for the currently logged in use with the issue. (they must be logged in) For example, if I were logged into your server, you would use "jd clear SylenThunder".
Using just the "jd clear" command without a target puts the target as the user who is typing the command. GM should know this from administering servers. It is like this for nearly every command that would have a target.

If that does not work, then you will need to have all players with working drones pick up their drones. Then shut down the server. Then go into the save folder and delete the drones.dat and drones.dat.bak files. Then restart the server, and once those players with issues join, run the jd clear command with their username.
 
Thanks for the input, I'll try this tonight. we only have 3 players and all our drones were hit at the same time. I will try adding username. I did just "JD clear" on my user with mine as a missing drone and it did not resolve issue. I will delete those 2 files next if all else fails.

Will this work on the vehicles also not showing up? Deleting the vehicles file also? They show up on the map as in our base in a big side room but are not there when you enter room
 
For the vehicles, you can pull their location from listing entities. It may be possible that they have just gone under and you could teleport to them in god mode and retrieve them.
Otherwise, picking up all valid vehicles and deleting the vehicles files will remove the placed vehicles in the world like it does with the drones.
 
Well, first of all thanks for the comments leading to solutions. I tried the JD remove with username which did not work. I downloaded a copy of our server file and deleted the drone.dat and vehicle.dat files. I reloaded to server and all stray vehicles are gone and my junk drone has cleared. The other 2 players on our server still show a lost drone out there.

Is there something on their machine that would still hold their lost drone? Almost got this fixed.
