Drone access interface is not working

Error message above comes up whenever I try to access my drone. This has now occurred in two separate games. So I cannot access cargo space or change orders or anything. It does follow me and it does talk, but that is it.

Notes on info requested below: I have not been successful using the tools you requested below and my virus software is alerting me to risks associated with it. In the even you are ne'er do wells, please take a long walk off a short pier. In the instance you are not, I put a snip of the error message above.

This isn't the place to troll with youtube links. we request a log file because it's actually needed to help you and to figure out if it's a modding bug or a bug we need to investigate.

Not trolling. Your ticketing software would not allow me to notify you of the bug without some sort of link (at least it was good music). The log file is now attached below. your ticketing software would not allow me to attached this file. Neither would the url linking tool you suggested. In either case, I am not going to provide anyone a link to anything on my PC. This is for your benefit.....not mine.....so whether you investigate or not is up to you. I use no mods, so that is not the issue. I did verify game files through steam. The error message I received is in the original ticket request above. You need not contact me anymore since I really don't care if you fix it for me or not. Judging by what I am seeing in the community on this game, I think I am understanding why it is dying. I liked it when it came out and felt obligated to notify you of what I believe is a make or break bug for the game. My patience to jump through hoops and risk my own computer is non-existant. Do or do not........

Well, putting a link to a music youtube video has nothing to do with this so it is a bit trolling.

Either way it DOES help you, as you have a mod that is causing the issue. This is why we request logs

You'll need to remove that mod and most likely acquire a new drone, not sure.

I don't call it trolling (per the definition...."make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them") but, rather, solving a problem on how to circumvent your "required fields" on your ticketing software to get this in front of you. No argument with you needing the log file. As you saw, I was willing and able to provide you the log file and we got there. Let's chalk up my inability to use third party software to being over 60 and highly paranoid to allowing any access to my computer (or perception thereof).

I will circle back and let you know if I need to acquire a new one. Do you guys have a mod management tool that I am not seeing? I didn't even remember I had that one (but now I do - my bad). Now I got to figure out how to ditch it.

You're welcome. Well, it's more of a lots of users make videos of the issue and sometimes the log and upload it to youtube, I click it and it's a song, lol.

Well, when you upload a log like that, it's actually the other way around. Nobody accesses your computer, but you send it to your router to the website. When you trade files where the receiving party has access to your PC, that would be something like... Teamviewer or some software that you run on your PC that turns it into a file sharing, and someone uses credentials to actually login to it on your PC.

Anyway just wanted to clarify that. And no, I believe someone made a mod launcher? I would NOT use Nexus mod launcher at all, do not use that for this game.

Mods are either in the main directory or in the save directory, called "Mods". You can just rename the folder if you want.

Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense and is good to know. I always assume the worst on the topic of computer access. Also wanted to let you know that I did not need to acquire a new drone. It works fine now! I will not use the Nexus mods but will rather look on Steam. I suggested to a thread that Fun Pimps might be able to actually sell a high end mod manager to automatically deactivate (with notification) that a mod was deactivated due to an outdated mod. You guys update the game enough that mod activation and deactivation is a headache. Combined with the modabilty of this game and the plethora of cool mods, I would think this would sell like hotcakes. Just a though.....In any case, cheers and thanks again!

You're welcome. I suggest the mod section here, actually. Steam workshop support is planned though, no need to charge users for a mod manager

Good to go on the drone then, glad it didn't break on you removing the mod.
