PC Does the land claim block make any sense in single player?

Isn't this something for multiplayer? Does it do you any good in single player?

It allows you to pick up and place your workstations within it's radius.

It also blocks spawning (if the in-game description is to be believed, which I do as I never use a bedroll and never have respawns {perma-death always})

Just make sure you empty out the resources, as in forges, otherwise you lose them.

There's also that book that gives you 20% more block damage to land claimed areas, I'm curious if that also applies to your own, would be good for mining then

Does the landclaim radius block toughness bonus apply to zombies or only other players?

Because if it applies to all entities, that, in an of itself, is reason enough to put on down.
