Does block shape affect support weight

trying to make a greenhouse and the roof collapses.

So question:does the bulletproof glass block shape hold more weight than the pane shape? don't want to waste more pieces trying it out if I don't have too :p

(I can span the greenhouse in flat glass, its trying to make a peaked roof that gives me the trouble)

I have an alternate plan already, not looking for build solutions, just an answer to the question.

Yes, different shapes of the same base block should have the same stability glue. It's primarily managed by the base material.
