When I was playing a little bit earlier I looked at the price of the pipe AR and thought

"Wow that's so cheap"

My personal opinion it should cost more

Like add iron and mechanical parts too the recipe to make it take a smig longer.  Plus it makes sense!

my order to Cheap to most expensive imo

Shotgun

Rifle

Pistol

Ar

You will get pipe weapon bundle for free from trader. Stop making things harder for new players. The progress is already broken. This will have no effect for old players which know how to start new game, it punishes new players.

And about makes sense. Motorcycle requires 37+7 steel to craft. SMG T1 requires 110. Does it makes sense?

Yeah that's a tad bit ridiculous the ar. Instead it should be a bow bundle or melee weapon

Even a level 5 or 6 pipe gun is rubbish -- the magazine size, reload time, rate of fire, are all really terrible. I swear they were better in A20/21. At least it makes me want to move on! After I got slaughtered by zombies in that weird Adams-Family-type house in the wilderness, with the upstairs library and the underground research area, I dumped points into assault rifles to get an AK.

mech part, spring and oil, remove the wood
Do like this idea, though. The spring and the oil makes sense, as does removing the wood and adding the mechanical part.

They're clearly designed to be pre-wrench items, maybe not exactly day 1, but 2 latest. So I don't really think there's such a thing as "too cheap" at that point, only "too powerful".

Yeah mechanical parts and springs needed would defeat the whole purpose the pipe weapons have. So nope. And they are horrible. So no, not too cheap. I mean i don´t mind it costing more materials, but stay with materials they need now, otherwise they are even more useless.

It's possible, I think, to balance the overall performance by making the pipe machine gun a single-shot weapon and reducing the number of bullets it can hold.
I'm no gun expert, so I don't know, but it seems strange to me that a fully automatic gun would be made from those materials.

While it is possible to make fully automatic guns, Most cheap and easy ones are in Pistol rounds. like 9mm or 45. IE Ludy and grease gun.
but you still need to Machine the parts. Realistically the easiest pipe gun to make a 2 pipes and a small round, or a really strong pipe and a shotgun shell.

at the end of the day you just want the gun to go boom! nothing special.

Now im no gun expert on this but (I feel so sorry who every suggested it, i don't remember) but he said it should be a Crank gun. and that is a great idea

pulling the bolt back and forth to fire the round makes the most sense to me, and would be somewhat easy vs a Gas system. but TFP is going to style, like fallout 4 but i would trust myself with the pipe guns in 7DTD then fallout 4, that looks like grenade ready to go off,

they just need some Oil

The only pipe weapon that is pretty close to real world component requirements is a shotgun.

The revolver and SMG however are way too cheap. You should need a few mechanical parts for each for it to make sense. A slam fire shotgun is literally two pipes, a handle and a nail, so that seems pretty legit.

The one thing that keeps them from being OP in my.mind is how ungodly cumbersome they are to reload.

I agree the pipe weapons are trash so it's appropriate they are so cheap to make. They actually do feel worse in 1.0 but that could be that the zombie health has been nerfed.

Although I feel bad for the hazmat zombie, he is like a paper mache, he is so weak now.
