Depth of POI

Dead Smarty

Scavenger
Currently I'm experimenting with using a POI to boost lootstage. For this I created a pit on Shotgun Messiah Factory turf in the Wasteland but to my great dissapointment the POI boost goes only 6 blocks deep. Checked this also in the pit of rubble where I undermined the basement and there too was no more boost.

The question is: Is there a certain standard depth (and/or hight) where the boost stops working or is this tied to the lowest (and/or highest) block of the POI?

Each POI has a height, width, and depth. If there's a benefit tied to its boundaries then my guess is it would conform to the POI's dimensions.

In general, POIs aren't made to extended very far below whatever depth is needed to support the POI's structure. I've not found a reason to make a POI that has 20 blocks worth of padding below it. Also, some people who mess with map creation can change the depth of bedrock and there have been issues related to really deep POIs getting cutoff.

Yeah, the area is entirely based on the POI area. A POI that has a deep underground area will provide the boost further down than a POI without anything underground. There is usually at least 1-2m, and potentially a little more, below the bottom most block of a POI, but that's about all.

oh i bet if you drained out the water inside the factory that would be a great spot for a pit. Wou could set up ramps and ladders to get the zambs to come up to you where you knock them down, and rain explosives on them.

Thanks.
I was assuming it was area based, like a landclaim.
So now I have to fill up the bottom of the pit again up to 6m under surface. Initialy that was about the depth I was aiming for but some exploding cops made me choose the easy way to level by just making it deeper.
