XBOX Deleted game progress due to server malfunction

me and my wife’s game progress just got reset due to a server crash, how can we fix this we spent countless hours building the base and gathering and it crashed during a blood moon and reset us to day one? Consoles ps5 and Xbox any way to get the game progress back?

It would be a good idea to run regular backups from the server in case something like this happens. If the reset you are talking about still left all your stuff but just reset your characters, the best option to get back what you lost would be to have the server admin give your characters enough XP to be back to where you were. You can't run the commands to do that from console, but I think you could have someone on PC (or the server) run the commands for you. They can also change the day number if needed. If everything (base/crates/etc) are all gone and there isn't a backup available, then the server admin would also have to give you whatever resources/etc. you lost.

It reset characters, me from 17 to 2, my wife 23 to 7, and it took our inventory’s, i only know the equipment i had and the stations we had built and stuff we had access to, how would i contact a server admin? We started the game from her side and I’ve just been joining her

There should be info when joining a server for who to contact and how to do so. If you rented a server, you would be the admin and need to manage that yourself.

However, you just said you started the game from her side. Are you actually on a server? Or is she just hosting the game? If she's hosting the game (no server), then you won't have any options to fix it as far as I know because console doesn't have the admin options that you'd need.

That being said, 15 or 16 levels isn't very much and with levels that low, your lost inventory shouldn't be too much, so starting over shouldn't be a big deal. You'll still have anything you built and should still have anything in any storage crates. The type of reset you're describing usually only affects your character's level (that includes perks since those are based on level) and your magazines/books and your toolbelt. Anything else is usually still fine. It isn't fun to lose your stuff, but it sounds like you're early enough in the game that it shouldn't take too long to be back where you were before.

For reference, crashes can often cause character corruption as you're experiencing and sometimes worse save game corruption because the game is regularly saving and if it crashes in the middle of a save, the save gets corrupted. On PC, you have a backup you can use as long as you don't open the game again before switching to the backup. But I don't think there's any option for that on console, though I don't use console and cannot say for certain.
