Dedi server only uses 4GB of ram

I'm using Pelican to host the game server. Pelican is allocated 16GB of RAM and the 7 Days server does not have a cap so it should use all 16GB.  When my friend and I play together, the server does not use anything more 4GB.  I would've expect it to use at least 8GB if not all of it.  I am not looking for Pelican support (I already opened a thread there), but I am wondering if there is some setting that I missed in the config files of 7 days.  It may be working fine and only needs the 4, but the game is a little laggy and I have dropped my quality for little improvement.

 
Server will use what it needs when it needs it. V1.0 uses much less RAM than previous versions. There is no configuration to allow more RAM usage. This isn't Java Minecrap.

Yeah, the dedicated server client is optimized to use as much ram as it needs and will cleanup as it needs. That amount is standard for a couple of players. It will use plenty more if needed, especially if you collapse buildings with explosives or other intensive things; the more active the world is with changed it will use more too (again, as needed).

The server doesn't handle graphics, so any lag on the server side would be networking (enemy position, AI, etc.) which would result in things like rubber banding, zombie AI being slow, vehicles hitting invisible walls, etc. If you're having general FPS issues, that isn't on the server. Your system ram speed matters a lot here, as well as having a strong CPU and an SSD for storage.
