PC day 7 all night?

So I've only ever played single player  since A19 until I found out some coworkers also play.  A few days ago I created a server which I self-host and we've been playing 1.0 experimental.

In single player, I've beat horde nights way early, especially on day 7. On my server though, day 7 was an absolute nightmare. There were two of us online and we got a TON of kills (ended up getting the kill 1k zombs, so had over 500 kills just from horde night) but it went all the way till 4am. We were so far drained of ammo that we had to keep doing suicide runs to open the loot bags to get more ammo.

Is this a normal thing on servers or is this a 1.0 thing that horde night goes all the way until 4am?  The server had 120minute day cycles so this night was insane.  I will end up putting it back to 60m day cycles if its all the way till 4am horde night.

It was changed to try and get even the early horde nights to last until 4am.  Whether they do or not still depends on how quickly you can kill the zombies.  It is still possible to finish before 4am but is a bit more effort to do so.  With more players, you have more zombies, so it can take longer unless all players are very good at killing zombies quickly.  If every hit is a headshot, you'll probably finish early, for example.

You will definitely be at a higher game stage with 120 minute days for the first horde night, so that will make it harder.  Of course, it also means you have more time to get ammo, so it can balance out.

You might consider a melee base design for the first horde night if you have limited ammo.
