Cross platform game

I'm having trouble with cross-platform game matching. My friend uses a PS5 and I use a PC. Despite trying all the instructions and methods repeatedly, it doesn't show up in the server scan. I've tried every method and tutorial-like article.
 
For me (PS5) to join my friend (PC), I have to search his Steam ID and it pops up. I wish there was more information on this upon first playing 7 Days to Die because I did have to dig a bit online to figure this out.
