Is there a way to change the level of item you are crafting? I invested several points in mining - and now found the augar and chainsaw recipe. However, I am not finding enough motor parts to craft level five tools. I have 14 parts and level 5 requires 15. I would like to make one of each at level 2, but can’t make either because I don’t have the enough parts.

I am not aware of any way to lower your crafted level. Just get out and hunt some more parts.
