I also downloaded the mod for more zombies, and because of the amount of them outside it's really anxious inducing unlike vanilla

I'll probably build close to the merchant, since he'll definitely be nea....

To be honest, i'l better have massive FPS drops in city's than playing in empty city where there are like 3 zombies near mile away from me. Like look at this, that is screams that is a danger situation. First of all 7DTD is a ZOMBIE themed game. And seeing it like that is very lame.

I'll give Unturned as an example. It's also a zombie game. But it has a base similar to Rust. You loot houses, build your house, fight with players, raid other houses. This gameplay loop is fundamental. That's why the game is loved, because it is designed for PVP. 7DTD is originally being developed as a COOP FPS. So we should focus on the PVE component, right? But in such a game there is only one event that repeats every 7 days. No question it's fun at first. But it gets boring pretty quickly. (By the way, Unturned has a horde generator where you get loot when you win, so someone borrowed it from someone else).

And at this point I'm really confused as to what direction the game is going in. The main theme is Zombies, there are few zombies in the world, the style of the game tries to look like The Walking Dead. It has an insane and unnecessary RPG component, has a plot in the background, screwed PVP for a tick, and on all this is a very small variety of quests and game situations except for POIs that have their own way of passing and probably history. And just from such a pile of unrelated things in the game and I can not enjoy as the realization of many things is very raw (except for graphics, and thank God for stability). I could make a joke about the game having to come back next year. Maybe they added something worthwhile. But I will still keep an eye on the game as the zombie theme with survival interests me. And 7DTD is still in development, but so far I see some very messed up Frankenstein that still needs to be understood.

I really hope they gonna make advanced zombie ai where it could spawn like 30-50 of them on one screen. Im not talking about 100 and more. If game does have blood moon where you could kill really huge horde but on daytime its basically empty.

One person in solo can kill 15 zombies on screen, yes it will be long, and yes you need the right gear for that. But in a zombie theme and there is this element of dread where the zone is a huge horde that even a group of trained players can't defeat. That's why the feeling of fight or flight is created. And this is one of the elements why I liked Project Zomboid very much. In 7 days to Die you don't feel it as it is done only after 7 days, and all the rest are "weekends" for zombies. Which you have to admit sounds silly.

I believe there's a setting that will let you increase the number of zombies.

Its kinda dumb to have difficulty setting that just increase ZM HP and Increase Damage. Its doesn't even show what exactly difficulty setting works 😕

I honestly would think it could be a stress test for the hardware or a separate benchmark since the game does look beautiful. And it would be a sin not to put a performance test in there.

But even as a tech demo the game doesn't work.
