Constantly Crashing to Desktop

One of my friends constantly has CTD. At first, he was crash about every 15 minutes and then we thought maybe it was server issues so we decided to get a dedicated server and it fixed the problem enough to instead of like every 15 minutes it's only every 40 to 50 minutes. I was wondering if anyone has an idea on how to fix it?

This is for Alpha 17 and he has a fairly good computer and such.

If he's on a Mac, it's a known issue.

If he's on a PC, I'll need logs.
