Anyone ever build an early game starter base out of the side of a steep cliff? I did awhile ago under the old Telltale console version. Was thinking about trying it out on my next playthrough.

Anyone ever build an early game starter base out of the side of a steep cliff? I did awhile ago under the old Telltale console version. Was thinking about trying it out on my next playthrough.

I normally don't do something like that in the early game because digging with a stone shovel or pick is not very fun for me. But I've done a base in the side of a mountain where only the entrances were visible. It even had a tunnel large enough for a 4x4 that had blocks on walls, floor and ceiling that went about 1km through the mountain to the other side.

* I did that with another player. It wasn't just me doing it.

Yea I like the idea of having one for early game cause it's elevated and easy to defend against early Zeds.

Tried using a q1 stone axe to dig out a 5x5 area of stone and it actually didn't take too long.

If it is also where you fight the horde, you're going to get anthill zombie tunnels everywhere in that cliff from zombies either digging up or down the cliff.

Nahhh, just for early game gathering resources and storage. Also a good spot to setup a dew collector for early game water.
