PC Chunk Reset

Does anything protect vs this? 

I now know that a bedroll won't.  I went back to base one after 10 days had passed to pick up my loot that I had left there when I went in search of a town since my trader's closest quests were1.5 to 2 km away from me.

Will a land claim block protect?  I guess I need to build a pillar with one to check it and see.

 
  • Chunk Reset Option

    Default is disabled
  • Options for days all the way up to 70 days
  • Chunk resets to its pregenerated state if no player has entered the chunk after the number of days selected.
  • An active LCB or bedroll will prevent a chunk from resetting.

Well I need to try and reproduce what happened then, because I'm 99% certain that I had a bedroll down in the base that got reset, but thank you for the reply.

Did you perhaps have another bedroll placed somewhere? I wonder if only your most recent bedroll counts

 
Note that a bedroll range is limited.  But if the base disappeared, even near the bedroll, then that shouldn't happen.  Or as NekoPawtato just said, if you had more than one, it's likely on the most recent works.

To prevent spawns:

Bedroll

LCB (must be active)

Vehicle

Visiting the area within the timer window

How many bedrolls did you have in total?

Only 1 bedroll is protected. That is the last one you place.

Just 1, I was protecting base 2 with a landclaim block

Yeah, the bedroll was in the middle of the base, and it was the only bedroll.

Ofc, it could be a mod issue too, that's something else I'll need to check.

 
As beerfly implied earlier, did you ever even turn on the chunk reset feature? It isn't enabled by default, so if you didn't turn it on, that isn't related to what you are experiencing.

I did turn it on, and set both it and the loot respawn to 10 days.

I thought it would be protected since I had my active bedroll there and an LCB at my "main base", but maybe I screwed up, and it didn't have a bedroll there, no way for me to check now, although I am testing the LCB protection now.
