Changing Bedrolls radius.

Nilbin Kaar

Refugee
I'm tired of sleepers respawning while I clear out a poi. I believe I read somewhere on here that only Bedrolls can stop sleeper spawning. Because of this, I have started placing a Bedrolls in every poi I'm clearing. However, the default radius doesn't seem to be large enough for some of the larger (width, height or depth) poi. I'm not very familiar with xml files. I have looked but can't seem to find it. If anyone knows ows where or how to change the bedroll radius would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It's in the serverconfig, I think. Even for single player. I'll double check once I put the boys to bed if nobody else has answered by then. I'll be about half an hour.

if i am right you can change the Game options ingame per Console, there should the bedroll radius editable.

But need a relog if i remember right to take effect.

Cant guarantee that this works. But should be worth a try.

Start by typing help in console

I completely forgot to check, sorry. I'll do it tomorrow though.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die

This is where I find mine. It's next to the Data folder, which is the one containing the Config folder.

<property name="BedrollDeadZoneSize" value="15"/>

<!-- Size of bedroll deadzone, no zombies will spawn inside this area, and any cleared sleeper volumes that touch a bedroll deadzone will not spawn after they've been cleared. -->

You should be able to increase this number to expand the protection size. As far as I know this value applies to every direction rather than from sky limit to bedrock, so a value of 100 would protect 100 in every direction including up and down.

Thanks, I found it. Really appreciate it.

does the serverconfig.xml affect single player game? I didn't think it did a while ago when I wanted to change the day time.

Is there a max radius on the bedroll when changing it? Would it cover an entire city?
i Normally hate this answer, but would it no be easyer to disable zombies ?

Edit:

(

Now i really consider if people could want to play the game with 7th Day horde lonely

like Tower defense + Free loot

)

I want Zombies (Sleepers) to spawn once to clear out. I just dont want them respawning after you clear a building and fortify it.

Trying to take over the city of Departure and rebuild all the buildings.

Understand you, but this will not work on multiplayer, the bedroll works only if you are logged in.

And a whole town is impossible, because the server renders

Entities around 60-80 Meters away and

Blocks ?120? meters away,

i dont think that the bedroll can effect anything as soon as it is not longer rendered

I am also fairly sure (not 100% positive tho) you can only place one bedroom. If you place another the new one over rides the previous....

This is an old question I would like to ask again in A17. What is the actual max size for the bedroll protection.

To take it a bit further, could the no zombie spawn zone attribute of the bedroll be split from the player spawning attribute? Id like to see a mod of the burning barrel, painted radiation green with green fire. They would throw smoke or fog over an area and stop zombie spawning, possibly on a timer and fed by some special and extra hefty crafting requirements.

Now bedroll do nothing for sleeper.

Land claim works instead.

You can see its radius on placing. Also its value is changeable in setverconfig.xml.
