PC Changes to weapons for 2.0 and beyond

Weapon change suggestions since it always felt odd about certain things, at least to me.

Spears - change stone spear to bone spear (repairable with bones, mainly to break up the other stone items we can make)

Baton - make a tonfa/wooden baton, change pipe baton to an iron baton that can use more mods

Fists - let leather knucks use chain mod, same for iron knucks

Crossbows - makeshift or wooden crossbow to match the primitive bow, obtainable after getting a few bow magazines

Pistols - remove magnum & vulture from this class - only pipe pistol, semi-auto and SMG
Revolvers/Hand Cannons - make a pipe revolver obtainable early game (4 rounds of .44), move magnum & vulture to this sub-class
* can still share the handguns crafting magazines
* can help with armor set balance, pistols & revolvers can have their own seperate armor perks

Robotic Turrets - add a new variant with a smaller capacity (unable to add ammo extender mods) to shoot iron darts or nails

44 Auto Turret - add a variant of the SMG auto turret to shoot 44 ammo instead with a slower firing speed

Nail Gun - let the auto trigger mod be added to it and increase the nail capacity to 40
(commercial nail guns can have up to 80 at a time but we'll assume apocalypse ones are an older model)
Also they should do way more damage in-game than they do. At least give them a high proc of bleed damage, even if you limit it to 1 stack at a time.

I think that they will be adding a new tier of baton, with the inclusion of new tougher zombies.  Even with all the bonuses stun batons get, they will have issues with the stronger zombies.

I mean the current weapons are already not enough for radiated zombies with their insane health pools, adding 2 new tiers and no new tiers of weapons? thats just stupid and your going to make the bullet sponge issue much worse, kinda like how they are going to make the "no one goes into other biomes" issue worse, Instead of fixing progression properly, so each biome has unique items/resources and only can be gotten from there and are required for gear upgrades, they decided to make it even MORE annoying to go to the other biomes, like, thats not fixing the problem your making it even worse. Its the dumbest thing or one of the dumbest things i've ever seen a game dev do and I been gaming for over 30 years and i've seen alot of stupidity.

I doubt anything about weapons is going to be changed by any significant degree, but I don't understand why there aren't more common household items used as weapons - things that you see in most zombie movies. Screwdrivers, broken off chair legs, sharpened broom sticks, etc.

I do understand though that if tools were to be viable as weapons it could make things a little too easy. Why carry a melee weapon and a pickaxe when in reality a pickaxe would be way more effective than most of the game's melee-only weapons. And I guess if they were to make it so you can modify a tool to either be more viable as a weapon or more viable as a tool, that might make things too confusing for players...though to me it makes sense.

What were medieval wars fought with? Spears, swords, clubs/maces; or pickaxes? Yes, the the game doesn't reflect the qualities of the tools well, they'd be effective but insanely tiring in a zombie fight; but it's not like a pickaxe would actually be on par with any proper weapon. The axes should imo get some combat love thou, especially as the steel axe obviously would fail at chopping wood (visually, the "several blades" aren't even aligned).. :)

But ye, it's not like the tool/weapon separation is even honored anymore; animal harvesting can be done with a pair or round pipes now...
