Can't move turrets

I placed smg and shotgun turrets and can't pick them back up. What am I doing wrong? There's no context menus or buttons and all tools damage them. I find it hard to believe that the tripod I set on the ground is a permanent object now.

Thanks for the help. I tried finding the answer with search and get nothing but junk turret stuff.

you have to put down a land claim block to be able to pick up electronic items/workstations.
