Can you allow us to remove failed quests from the log?

Topic, why isin't this a feature already? I just failed a buried supply because well I don't know why, I clicked the quest starter and it just instantly failed second I did with no reason why. Would be nice to be able to remove quests like this from the log without a console command.

Unless I am mistaken, you can. The same button to cancel quests removes them, I think. I haven't looked at that in a very long time, though. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

But as Treb said, why does it matter? No one sees your quests, so it isn't too avoid people mocking you for failing a quest. And you don't exactly go through your quests to find stuff. So why does it matter? Does it bother you to see that you failed a quest? If so, why?

It would be a nice quality-of-life feature to be able to remove quests from the list, regardless of whether they were failed or successfully completed, to tidy things up a bit. As far as I know, it is currently impossible to delete completed or failed quests from the overview. Clicking on the "Remove Quest" button does nothing.

I also fail to see why this is needed tbh. Waaaay more important things should be done first. I mean i have no problem if they make it possible, but that´s something for the very end of developemnt and shouldn´t take up any dev time right now.

Yup, just checked in my 2.2 game, doesn't remove it from the list.
Then again, it's either a sign of a bug - so what; or a personal failure. For character building, facing your failures is important enough that I'll actively ask Not to allow for the removal - if one can't tolerate "having once failed at a video game", that's an issue that warrants prodding... :)

I'm not trying to hide anything, I just want to tidy things up a bit. I have 9 pages of completed quests that are of no use to me.
As I said, it would just be a quality-of-life feature. It's not essential, but it'd be great if it could be done. A new UI is apparently on the way anyway.

Ye, no; wasn't implying you were, I quoted you just to confirm that it can't be done in the current patch.

I don't really "get" the want to "clean it up" either, but that's not a problem for me... I have however had plenty of "interesting times" with people who can't stand ever having made a mistake; if a game can teach someone to better accept it, great! :)

For myself, as all of the old data is sorted below the active stuff, I never even see it; there's never a reason for me to browse it. Never even in my mind.

I think it's like the difference between people who have thousands of emails in their inbox and those who sort their emails into folders.

Sounds similar, for sure; but for me the reason to sort stuff out of an inbox is to know what I've "processed" and what not. No unseen loose ends, just "stupidly decided on" loose ends, or some such :)

All of the completed or failed quests are firmly in the past, never a reason one of them has any info I need. I'm not digging for a gold nugget in that mess, as there are none.

Yeah, it doesn't hurt to have stuff there that you aren't even looking at. If anything, I think it they just make the list only show the 20 or so most recent quests, that would be better than adding something that requires a player to manually remove stuff to clean it up. But it really isn't such a big deal. It isn't something you need to ever look at

Hmm, a couple different filters wouldn't be a terrible idea; tickboxes for "show old" and "show failed" or some such. There might be a reason to see the old info. Like to try and count a lot of T1 completes, if you suspect your quest tiers aren't progressing right, or some such edge case.
