Can we have steam workshop support now when the game is released?

Maybe check the roadmap that has been available for a few months now. Workshop is currently slated for Q4 2025.

I'm impatient for it too, but @bdubyah is right, they have it planned for later.

What might be helpful is if you talked about what you hoped Steam Workshop integration would allow you to do. It can mean different things to different people.

 
Yeah, Steam Workshop is coming.  So that's a good thing.  What we really need to care about is how it works and what it offers.   It could end up being set up in a way that isn't much use to people, or it could be integrated extremely well and everyone is happy.  Most likely, it'll be somewhere in the middle.  Offering suggestions for how you'd like to see it work can only help to increase the chances that TFP will integrate it better.
