Can we change the Steel Club to the Steel Bat?

Whats even to discuss? Bats look awesome. Going from the baseball bat to the Steel Club feels like a downgrade, not an UPgrade. If anything Id argue they should be swapped. Iron club and Steel Bat. Though Id prefer it if we just went to bats after leaving the wood club behind.

TFP chose to go with a mad max aesthetic, over any sort of logic. The steel "club" looks more like a kettlebell on a stick; might be great for some exercise, but trying to get a swing out of it seems implausible.
the weird part is besides the steel club everything is so un-mad max Im kinda like...Why? The baseball bat looks and feels a lot better.

The spears aren't exactly functionality first, either. The steel isn't as bad, but the iron looks rather pointlessly bulky; and that's the one lovingly forged by hand from ore.

I could see: Wooden Club > Wooden Bat > Aluminum Bat as the world has lots of them. But crafting a Bat (wooden or otherwise) seems strange.

Heres the thing. I could understand if tier 2 (iron) was the bulky club and tier 3 was a steel bat. But to go club, bat, and then back to club again? Why? If I can already make a bat, why wouldnt I just level it up and use higher quality materials to make a better one?

Wooden bats do far more damage than metal bats and that is likely why they went back to the club.

Personally I don't think it is a big deal. I think the steel club works fine as it is

From a logical point of view, it's wooden stick => baseball bat => mace; and that way it would make perfect sense. A good mace is a devastating weapon. Much more so than any bat, due to better weight distribution and good impact material and shape of the head.

The steel club kinda looks like an improvised mace with all the pointy parts; but it should be slimmed down by a factor of 10 to actually look functional. (I'm no historian, so if one wants to argue that any reinforced bat is a mace, then go ahead; but I'm talking mostly of these types of things: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mace_(bludgeon) )

Or maybe something like a weapon skin that makes the steel club look like a bat, that would be probably a lot faster easier for the devs. Instead of reworking that weapon line.

I like the name theory @theFlu suggested. Plus by the time someone is using this thing, they have nearly maxed strength, 4 out of the 5 club perks. You're just a beast, and can easily handle swinging around that monstrosity of a club all day(and night) for 100s of days without even feeling winded. :P

Agree this makes sense. A mace puts the bulk of it weights on the top for serious smashing.
