Hi,

I am having trouble running 7days to die. After 5 or so minutes it hangs at Building Environment screen. The computer is only 4 or 5 months old. It is a AMD Ryzen3 2200G with 8 GB RAM and a NVidia GEForce GTX1050 (latest driver). It is running Windows 10 home v1803 64 bit. and has all the latest updates installed. The strange thing is that when I took my computer to see if it would run the game there everything works fine, therefore I am thinking it is a network problem. I have just been reading that some ports need to be opened on the modem / router TCP and UDP ports 8080 - 8082, 25000 - 25003 and 26900. Could this be the issue ?

I also checked in the Output_log_xxxx.txt file and noted there was an error - WRN Setting global culture failed! not sure if this causes any loading problems either ???

Cheers, Glenn

In a17 it builds the map on the first load. This can take a bit, and you're at the minimum recommended RAM. (Sorry, but with only 8GB RAM and a 1050 that system isn't going to be valid for very long with modern games. Especially not one with a fully destructible 3D Voxel environment. It's fine for most business applications though.)

That error is normal.

On your PC, you will likely need to wait 10-15 minutes to make a 4k map. Probably 20-30 for an 8k map. A 16k map will likely cause it to crash because you don't have enough RAM to handle creation activities.
