Broken multiplayer

Looking for some advice on how to fix a new bug on 7d2d

me and my partner are currently playing on version 1.4 Xbox. Me and my partner have encountered what seems to be a new bug. We played the game as normal yesterday but when we have gone to load up the game today to play, I can't invite him. When i try to load up my friends list in game, it says "something went wrong" and i can't invite him through the xbox menu either as it isnt giving me the option. He also can't find my game or my Xbox gamertag when he tries to search it.

We also can't invite one another when we both create a new world.

Things we've already tried to fix this issue:

-closing and reopening applications

-rebooting both Xbox

-rebooting both wifi

-uninstalling and reinstalling the game

-Checked the world settings (yes the world is online and visable)

-searched the world game and each others gamer tags.

-checked the file saves (everything seems to be in working order)

Never encountered something like this before so wondering if anyone has any ideas how to fix it or will it be the case of waiting until the next update drops and hoping the devs patch it? 😅

Thanks!

One thing to check is whether both of your consoles have date and time correctly set. If this doesn't fix it, read on:

It sounds like a problem with the id-services and specifically it seems to be on your side as you can't even load up the friends list or get to anywhere where you could invite your friend (assuming here that your friend can do those things at least).

In your case I would start up the game again and do the inviting process until you see the "something went wrong" message, then use the bug report button. The important thing here is that this will send the logfile to TFP. Even if the fix were trivial, determining the cause often depends on someone looking through the logfile. And if it really is a bug you would not get a bug fix in the next patch unless you or someone else makes that bug report

Having exact same issue on PS5. Can’t invite friends or find map in search. Even tried finding any maps in search and says there are 70 maps active but lists none.

My partner and I are continuing to have this issue. The cause seems to be the game crashing, however either the game or the consoles aren't registering that the game has crashed. Causing a whole load of issues. We haven't been able to find any manual fix expect from closing the application for 2-3 days and then booting the game back up after a few days. After a few days it seems to work fine again, however, this 'glitch' has happened to us mutiple times over the last month. I'm sorry I can't be more help!!

In the settings for both Xbox or Playstation make sure to have your online game play set for everyone to see. That's how I fixed this issue for my nephew and myself.

This fix doesn't pertain to my crossplay issue on my other post for the PS5. But In order for my nephew to join my 7DTD on my Xbox I had to go into settings and change it so everyone could see me online and my nephew had to do the same. I hope this helps.
