Broken leg sound

Not sure if this is normal. I have my parkour maxed out. When I jump from a really high elevation, I get no damage/sprains or broken legs, however I still hear the broken bone sound. Even other players hear it. Is that normal?

I mean it, everything my knees cracks and rachets but nothing breaks .
