Boss Zombies

I would like to see like a quest for boss zombies or something from a trader. Or even Just a like end game Idea.

A more powerful version of a Zombie that is capable of summoning other zombies. make it act like a mini blood moon.

So a boss would have more hp (maybe even an HP BAR we can see) more armor and does more damage. Then they are able to summon like normal zombies like construction workers, nurses.

Heck we can even make the "bigger" zombies be the bosses. Cop zombies, mama zombie, bloater zombie.

 
They have considered boss type zombies and it is still possible but probably won't happen until after gold (actual gold, not 1.0).  There is also an issue with pathing for extra large entities, though they can make a boss type that isn't large.

 
 zombie doesn't even have to be that big just make a fat zombie the size of a biker and give him a ton of health and that will do just fine for us or maybe the size of a zombie bear

Yeah, I just pointed out the pathing issue for reference. If they add boss type zombies, I would expect them to not be large size.  But adding extra health, making them a bullet sponge, is not a good way to make a boss zombie.  Sure, they can have some extra health, but that needs to be secondary.  The main reason they are boss type should be special abilities that are powerful and interesting and require some extra thinking to defeat them.  You can put a zombie with 10x health in front or me and other than the chore of getting their health to zero, they wouldn't be a challenge.

Simple: improve melee damage and it hits blocks in a 2x2 blocks, add a weakness in the back, but it can't run he walks!

Still not anything special.  At that point, you have a zombie that is slow and you can just shoot them until they die with no risk of ever being hit by the 2x2 attack unless you walk into one unexpectedly.  There needs to be something that is actually special about them or they aren't worth adding.

Bandit bosses will be easier as you can give them some powerful weapons, like a rocket launcher.

For a tank/boss that we need would imo need to be basic, we got enough ranged attackers and exploders 

We do need more specials tho like a armor piercing  zombie, climber, maybe a healer and buffer and more zombie animals 

 
Ok here is an idea.

Cop zombie boss. He will have Extra armor/hp. His ranged attack happens more often and is faster and hits harder. He always has 3 zombies per player around him (summons 1 every 3 seconds if he doesnt have one per player) He gives the zombies in X radius a ranged attack like he has and causes them to move faster and explode when killed.

Mom Zombie boss. Extra hp. Always has 5 zombies per player around them.  causes zombies around them to be faster and stronger and have aoe attacks, and regens zombies.

Biker boss zombie. Lots of Extra hp and armor and moves faster. has 3 per player party girl zombies around him and makes them move faster and hit harder. Gives himself a ranged attack . Immune to stun batons and electric fences. zombies around harder to knock down or remove limbs.

Bloater zombie boss. Extra Armor explodes in a large radius when killed. spawns 5 zombies per player when killed.  and always has 2 zombies with him.

In a way you can make every zombie / monster a boss and kinda give them a few special perks like Aoe buffs to zombies around them.

For a tank/boss that we need would imo need to be basic, we got enough ranged attackers and exploders

That would be cool I thought about that. A zombie with his rips out and he shoots them like a machine gun.

I do like the idea of boss tier specials.  Maybe they got like blood red eyes and glowing red veins to show you that they are super strong. 

I do want a armored cop zombie. Like a solder that got bloated or Swat trooper. Maybe when he explodes it also acts like a grenade cuz he has a grenade or 2 on him. 

And a zombie that gets buffed when others are near are great. The game could uses a healing/buff giver
