PC Block upgrading query

Sorry for the new question but I've only started playing 7 days after a long break. You used to be able to upgrade wood blocks with iron but I can't seem to do that now. Am I missing something or is there a completely new block upgrade tree? Can someone please point me in the right direction where I can find an up to date upgrade tree for blocks as I can't seem to find confirmation anywhere. Thank you!!

 
it goes wood to cobblestone now, no scrap in between because it was considered a waste since most people needed the iron for rebar to make advanced concrete, so now its wood-wood2-cobblestone-concrete-reinforced concrete-steel

flagstone is a small step up from wood as it has 500hp over wood2 having 450, but it upgrades along the same path flagstone-cobblestone-concrete-reinforced-steel
