Biome Limit

Is there any way to have more than five biomes? Say I wanted to add like 16 biomes, is it possible? And how do change the color of ground blocks? In unity, photoshop, other?

Check out the biomes.xml. That handles ground textures, temps, weather, and I think what all type of vegetation spawns in each biome.

 
I added up to 24 biome, more - not tried.here is how to add biomes to a custom map:

Ya this would be for RWG.

An example of what I want to do:

Make purple biome with purple hued ground, trees, rocks, sky, etc.

Then add in some Unity particle effects specific to a biome.

Have biome specific weather such as rain 90% or Unity particle effect 50% of the time.

Make 9 new biomes like this.

Have it be able to work as a modlet or SDX.

Have it work in RWG without a hitch.

No, its an 8 bit game thats a lot like 7days crossed with... Nintendo products

they have a purple biome... its a type of infection and after the first world boss, it starts to destroy the planet, creeping int all other biomes and taking them over

I know lol, I was just messing around. Iv'e owned Terraria for years but only played like 5 minutes of it. The UI is one of the ugliest and unwieldly I ever seen. Your description makes me want to give it another shot though.

@bdubyah Thanks, now I'm stuck trying to edit a terrain block in Photoshop. Don't know how to extract it to the program as a texture.

my 15yo is addicted to it instead of minecraft. I've got probably 500 hours into the ps3 version. havnt played it in years.
