Award for Best Zombie Movie

I have 2 movies that cant be nominated, but i feel like are worth mentioning to 7d2d players.

The opening house clearing scene from Jon Carpenter's Vampires, silly B movie, but that opening scene makes me wish there was a class of feral POI zombies that would catch on fire if you dragged them out in daylight.

Stake Land is the other one. Its really a zombie movie wrapped up as a a vampire movie, but the vampires are closer to ferals. Low budget but really good production. Its like a zombie apocalypse (with bandits) in Appalachia. Sequel dont bother lol.

Dead Dont Die is stupid but funny, Sean of the Dead and 28 Days are my personal must watch Zombie movies.

Ever since seeing 'I am Legend', ive always added a few deserted houses spread out over the maps to give players that sort of I am Legend isolated sort of feel. I actually did a modified version of one of the early downtown filler POis and geared it to sort of serve as the house he inhabits at the start of the movie.

Dawn will always be the king. That said 28 days later is great. My top 10 in no order:

Dawn of the dead

28 days later

Zombie (aka zombie flesh eaters)

City of the living dead

Cemetery man

Return of the living dead

Dead and buried

Night of the living dead

Messiah of Evil

The beyond.

Now that I think about it, and we are on the topic of movies and Remington boomsticks, Ive always wanted to sample the crazy silenced Remington from No Country for Old Men. ASMR zombie killing with one of those, the sound is just so nice
