Auto populate tile POIs-Driveways option in World Editor

I've been making maps and POIs since A16 now, and I would like to first throw some Kudos out to the POI makers past and current, its incredible how everything has evolved. In particular, the size and scope of the POI collection from A20 forward, its just all so well done, great work TFP.

I'd also mention the performance and options improvements in recent versions to both the POI and World Editors. The topic of this post involves adding an option or two to the World Editor.

Currently, when you place an rwg tile down on the map, you first see colored footprints of where POIs are set to be placed in RWG. If I save from there, it will write the tile to the Prefabs.xml file, and I then generally have to reopen the world editor to then see the tile blended correctly to the map, no problems. Unfortunately, those colored footprints are now gone, and there's no indicators for POI (or just as importantly Part) Placement on the newly placed tile.

I created tile footprint cheat sheets as to what generally goes where, but I still end up losing out on parts, including driveways. Driveways in particular are still useful even when not using tiles for things like Wilderness and rural conections. In A20 and V1, I had the benefit of a mod called Maptoolz which included a feature that would let me populate tiles, parts and driveways, with the actual buildings selected being a little quirky but acceptable in leiu of geting parts and driveways I could then swap in POIs fairly easily.

With that mod out of support, I thought about it, and it seems like a useful enough utility feature to accompany the World Editor as a whole given recent overall performance improvements. I feel like all it would take would be a button or two in the main World Editor UI for 'Populate Driveway Connections' and 'Populate Tile' and/or 'Repopulate Tile'.

I feel these options would be very useful in creating and editing custom maps with the World Editor, thanks for taking the time to read and keep up the good work!

When the Tiles premiered in A20, the Prefab Editor had a key to randomly populate the Tile so you could see how it looked with POIs, Parts, etc. Shortly there after the feature quit being random. After that I think the feature disappeared.

That... or my memory is faulty.
