Audio setting request

Hi,

I enjoy the latest update, and have always been a sledgehammer player.

However the new cripple sound from the new sledgehammer book is awful and as an autistic person who is getting put off by it and my wife who plays with me, its the first time I have ever been questioning to stop playing. At the very least its forcing me to consider playing another way I do not want to.

Please can we add an option to turn off that cripple sound.
Or just don't have it or another sound that isn't what it currently is.

I do not want to have my choice removed. I understand this will be an issue for the minority of players but it would just be nice to be able to choose this. More audio options are always better.

Hmmmm I happen to like it as it’s very satisfying with a decap HOWEVER… I can empathize with you and I realize that a lot of the sound in this game leaves a lot to be desired. Heh, the new pump shotgun looks and sounds awful, and I replace the auto shottie sounds with the pipe shotgun sounds.

I could look into modifying or walking you through modifying the game. It might be as simple as finding what the sfx is and where it plays in the correct xml governing it and just either replacing the sound with a different sound or a maybe removing it altogether. I can’t help if it’s going to involve unity though, that’s far out of range of my skillset

I'm guessing it's the twitch_cripple_zombies sound. I don't use the sledge or have that perk so can't test it but what I'd try is find

<SoundDataNode name="twitch_cripple_zombies">

in sounds.xml, and then change the line that says <MaxVoices value="3"/> to a zero "0".
