As I progress from trader to trader through quests and tiers the game gets more and more choppy/laggy to the point of unplayability.

I have a computer that is better than recommended stats on steam and am playing on absolute lowest visuals, and yet the more and more I complete quests and raise my trader tier the slower things get to the point of unplayability. I just made it to trader bob to go into tier three and just opening my inventory took me close to 5 minutes. i had time to check my social medias and message a friend before it finally opened my inventory. i then closed it and it took so long to close I shut down with task manager. after every quest completed it has continually slowed and slowed in all things. by the time i unlocked the bicycle it was so choppy riding it that I wouldn't be able to avoid obstacles or i would spin out before it would load so i had to walk everywhere. aiming, shooting, looting, everything got slower as i went.  I am playing solo offline. The only possibility is maybe related to my player level. coincidentally enough It became unplayable and i ended up quitting at the exact same player level as the first character and map where this occurred. I have been having alot of fun with the 1.0 update it has just become unplayable. This instance is the second map and character. I had the same issue with the first map and character so i started this second one and am still having the same problem. if anyone has any suggestions or questions please let me know! I would like to play this again.

You might start by posting a log.  Not much anyone can tell you without it.

It sounds like you're running on a hard drive. The game seriously benefits being on an SSD, both the install and save folder. Hitches and freezes like you're describing are usually greatly affected by drive speed.

I certainly am. maybe that is the problem. thanks for the suggestion.

You might start by posting a log.  Not much anyone can tell you without it.

The pinned topic explains how.  But if you're using HDD, that is the problem.  Install to SSD and it will have a significant impact,
