Sure is. You can even pick whether you want to try a new map with clean slated players, or clean slate the map with keeping the players.
If you just want to wipe the map, go into the Regions folder of the save and delete all the files in the folder. That will delete all player bases, and any changes made to the world map. Since you left the player data intact the world is from scratch, but you will not have lost any progress.
